The distressed one. Lower right on the P’s; middle right on the Helveticas. “Caveman” might not be the correct term, but that’s what it makes me think of. :-)1 -

Probably true for most people, but it can be as high as 37% if you're doing really well in the font business. In any case, I agree that 30% is excessive if it's regardless of income.2 -

Re: Kerning Figures to Letters
I do it with proportional figures, but not tabular. Not totally sure it's worth it, but it doesn't seem like that much trouble. I also kern proportional figures with each other and with punctuation.8
